Frito-Lay issued a voluntary recall for Miss Vickie\u2019s Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips sold in six states as they contain undeclared milk that could cause “serious or life-threatening allergic reaction,” according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.<\/p>\n

The recall of 8 oz. bags of chips, including the jalape\u00f1o-flavored potato chips, was issued on Wednesday after a consumer contacted the company. No other Miss Vickie’s products were recalled.<\/p>\n

“Unless a consumer has a dairy allergy or sensitivity to milk, this product is safe to consume,” Frito-Lay said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The products were sold in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas as early as Jan. 15, and Frito-Lay encourages consumers with the listed chips to contact the company.<\/p>\n

The chips can be identified with a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of April. 21, manufacturing codes of 38U301414 or 48U101514 listed on the front of bag and UPC number 0 28400 76177 2 on the back of the bag.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
